ASL Best Practices
OCM processes are focused on the development of a future perspective on the structure of the ICT service and the translation of this perspective into policies aimed at the innovation of the structure of the ICT service.
The various Management processes are focused on the collective control of executable processes for 'services' and 'applications' and are fed by the executive and management/control level. As a result of this, the future-orientedness and the daily reality are firmly and explicitly rooted in these processes.
ACM processes are focused on the development of a long-term strategy for the various applications and the organisation's entire data facility, in relation to the organisation's long term policy.
The Maintenance processes are focused on optimising the use of existing applications that support the operational process. They use minimal resources and should disrupt the operational process as little as possible.
Enhancement and Renovation are processes that are focused on modifying applications to new wishes and requirements that are necessary to accommodate changes taking place within or outside the organisation. Important changes are introduced to data models, software and documentation.
Consists of two processes: Change management en Software control & distribution. The first gives a mechanism for inventorisation, prioritisation, initiation and evaluation to the changed application, the latter covers the processes around the control and distribution of the (operational) application elements.
